The AY McDonald 1" IPS x 1" CTS Tough Tube Adapter Coupling is not compatible with poly purple irrigation pipe. This fitting is specifically designed to connect rigid iron pipe (IPS) to copper tubing (CTS). Also, reusing compression fittings, including those on MIP x PEP adapters, is generally not recommended. While it might seem possible to reuse a compression fitting, the clamping mechanism that creates a seal can be compromised during the initial installation or removal. We hope this helps.
