This non-electric stove is an ideal source of heat in areas with limited access to electricity. It can generate up to 40,000 BTU and could heat an area of up to 2,000 square feet for an intermittent heating application. This non-catalytic pellet stove comes with a hopper that can hold up to 60 pounds of pellets and requires a vent with a 3” diameter.
This GW1949 offers an easy operation. A propane torch starts a draft before enabling the pellets to enter the central burning chamber. The chute then allows pellets to fall into the secondary burn chamber when opened, keeping flames from entering the hopper. Thanks to the natural draft, the flame travels up past the window to heat the tubes. Adjustments are made easy by opening and closing the fresh air intake on the front of the stove. Opening the slider lets more air in, and slows down the burn for less heat, whereas closing it speeds up the burn for more heat. Since this impressively designed stove does not utilize electricity, heat is radiated from the 3.5" tubing with the steel baffles on the back.
