Allowing for tapping into a line while under pressure and adding a line, to drain the system or add a sensor. This valuable ability is essential when the valve cannot be shut to stop the flow. The ingenious design of the Wheeler Rex Hot Tap allows for drilling into active water, air, and sewer lines up to 250PSI wither in a vertical, horizontal, or other pipe orientation. The powerful, cleverly designed manual ratcheting tool can cut 2" holes in diameter in 2" plastic pipe with this Wheeler Rex 802085 2" cutter shell in various plastic pipe with its appropriate size adapter.
Adapters have a handy built in bleed-off valve which allows the chips generated by drilling the hole to be flushed cleanly away.
