This self-closing yard hydrant from Woodford utilizes a reservoir below the frost line to contain the water. The hydrant is completely sealed to prevent surface and groundwater from entering the reservoir or the service line. It has a unique venturi-designed valve that removes the stored water along with the water being used. 

This Woodford S4H-2 sanitary yard hydrant has a bury depth of 2 feet and it has a 1" national pipe thread female inlet. It comes with a painted forest service brown finish. It is also equipped with a diverter spout, which allows the hydrant to be operated independently from the backflow preventer. This Woodford S4H-2 sanitary yard hydrant is easy to maintain. The entire working portion of the hydrant can be removed from the reservoir without any excavation.
