8 Inch Megalug for use with C900 PVC Pipe with Accessory Pack. This particular part is a Megalug, specifically for use with C900 PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) pipe and fittings. It has a nominal diameter size of 8 inches, making it for use with 8 inch C900 PVC. The Megalug comes in a pack that also includes a gasket along with the necessary nuts and bolts for proper installation. The megalug has a Ductile Iron construction which makes it an extremely durable accessory for piping systems and allows it to be buried underground if necessary. . Its main job is to provide restraint from any outside forces from the outside of the piping and to prevent separation of the pipe to the fitting. The megalug has a 360 degree coverage when it is placed on the pipe allowing it to “hug” to the surface securely. For easy installation, it can be installed about ground (out of the trench) giving you more room to adjust and secure the restraint.
