About the PETBR112114 Poly Insert Bell Reducer, 1-1/2 x 1-1/4 Inch

PETBR112114 Poly Insert Bell Reducer, 1-1/2 x 1-1/4 Inch. A bell reducer is designed in order to connect two sections of piping together, going from one size of poly pipe to a smaller size. It features barbed connections, which allow the poly pipe to be slid onto the fitting. The bell reducer design of this fitting lets you go from 1-1/2 inch pipe to 1-1/4 inch pipe. Poly fittings are used in multiple water applications but should never be used in gas, steam or compressed air applications. The fittings are specifically designed to work with polyethylene tubing (aka Poly Pipe, Poly Tube). In order to create a secure and tight connection, hose clamps should be used. The barbed connections of the poly fittings work well to hold tight to the pipe, but water pressure can push the tube off the fitting, making the hose clamps a great choice for installation.

Hi again! According to your question, we now have received an answer from the manufacturer. This PETBR112114 bell reducer made of durable PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) cannot be used to join with auto radiator hoses under high temperature and high pressure. A PVC bell reducer of this make is primarily used only for cold water - never HOT. Hope this helps!
