Zero issues Rated 5 by Grayson
  Yes, I recommend this product.
We used an insinkerator that was a different model for about 10 years and never had any issues. It was the one thing in the house that never gave us any trouble! When our house burned down we of course went with another but got this model. It's been doing awesome for the past two months now. They said just to make sure we run lots of hot water down the disposal when we are using it. My mom also has an insinkerator and has used it for five years with zero problems and loves it. It was leaking the day after installation but we feel that it was plumbing mistake rather than an issue with the product. The plumber came back and fixed it no problem.

Works fine Rated 4 by azureglow
We had a 1/3 hp Badger that came with the house. It started leaking, so I moved up to the 1/2 hp. I stopped there as it is the same on the outside as the old one and made changing it fairly easy. I wish they came with a pigtail and a plug. It took almost as long to open it up and swap the cord as the rest of the install did. I'd rather cut a plug off if I didn't need it rather than fiddle around in that little opening with the wires and fight with getting the cord tension thing out and back in. It works fine and seems to be a bit more powerful. There were no complaints about the old one. I wish they'd figure out how to make them not rust out.

Nice Mixture of Reliability and Good Value Rated 4 by SteveH
  Yes, I recommend this product.
Purchased the Badger 5 almost one year ago to replace an older unit that was malfunctioning. I relied on researching reviews of various disposal units. Made the decision to purchase the Badger 5 which appeared to be rated at or above average, the solid warranty and finally the price for comparable units. Not being the most mechanically inclined person, I found installation to be relatively easy following the instructions included with the unit. While not being the quietest unit, it has performed flawlessly since it was purchased. Would have rated the unit as excellent except for the volume of sound created by the unit. I recommend this product

Great disposer at modest cost Rated 5 by BillyTodd
I reviewed several disposers before choosing the Badger 5 -- which was recommended by several friends by the way. I installed it in our beach house which we rent during the summer months and live in much of the off-season. It worked well for us, and survived the rental season which is always a real plus!
