This product has one major flaw Rated 2 by nkb21 No, I do not recommend this product. This updated version of the Evolution Pro Cover Control has a major flaw that its previous version did not have. There is no baffle to block items such as utensils from going down the drain -- instead there is a huge open hole. Your choices are to either live with the huge hole and lose things down there or leave the magnetic stopper in all the time and nothing can go down there. You can install a baffle but you would need to take it out every time you want to put the stopper in to run the disposal. The unit is certainly very quiet and easy to install but the above problem makes me regret the purchase. Why did they change this? Originally posted on insinkerator.com Apr/2016
Simple to install, extremely quiet and very effecient Rated 5 by Fisherman Yes, I recommend this product. I needed a replacement disposal that didnt require a wall switch. This unit fit the bill perfectly. The installation instructions are very clear and everything needed for installation was included in the kit. From the time I removed the old disposal and turned on the new disposal for test was about one hour. Originally posted on insinkerator.com Jun/2013
Exceeded my expectations Rated 5 by JoeP I bought this product based on my brother in laws recommendation. I need a batch style disposal and looked at all the other makes and models. After reading the reviews on line I decided to purchase it. It took about 3 weeks to arrive at the local Menards store. The installation was relatively easy and straightforward, the only thing I did not like was the small area to stuff the wires into at the bottom of the unit while making the final electrical connection. Ease of installation. Rated 5 by Elmer46 After having this unit for over a year before it was installed waiting for a plumber, I decided to install the unit myself. It took me less then 1 hour to install and it is working just wonderful. We have been able to cut back considerably on our waste going out to the curb. My wife is so conscientious about what to put down the unit whereas I have tried quite a few different items without any problems at all. These include chicken bones, tea bags, leftover vegetables & table scraps. The only items we are unsure about trying are lettuce and celery as my wife is afraid that they might clog up the unit and not go through as efficiently as some of the other items.
