The Little Giant 589002 1-MD Chemical Pump, a pre-assembled magnetic drive industrial pump, is non-submersible, and is for in-line use. It is suitable for the movement of slightly corrosive solvents, acids, alkalis, and other chemicals and solutions that are compatible with the material that was used to make the pump. The pump has an intake and discharge size of ½" Hose. It has a 1/70 hp motor. This Little Giant 589002 1-MD Chemical Pump can pump up to 180 GPH at 1' head pressure and up to 20 GPH at 9' head pressure. This chemical pump can handle fluids with a specific gravity of up to 1.1 and with temperatures of up to 150 °F. It includes a 6' power cord with a 3-prong plug. The voltage needed to run this pump is 115V single phase. Its open, fan-cooled motor is thermally protected. More details are available in the specification sheets.   No, I do not recommend this product.
I mounted this inside a fridge that I use to chill 3 beer logs (1/6 keg each). The pump runs so hot that the fridge couldn't get the temperature below 43 degrees Fahrenheit. So, I moved it to the freezer compartment. Sometimes the pump runs quietly, but you can still here it outside of the fridge. Most of the time, it runs so loud that I can hear it two floors up. Not cool...
