The Shoemaker 850-0-20X10 vent cover comes with a lever-operated opposed-blade damper; a device that regulates airflow through the linked sections of adjacent blades that rotate in the opposite direction. Compared to other damper types, an opposed-blade damper maintains a more even airflow. It also provides better control over the airflow in all operating positions. For noise-free operation, this two-way stamped register is designed with 1/2-inch stabilized fan-shaped louvers. Be sure to measure the hole opening size instead of measuring the faceplate of your old grille. Please note that this vent cover is typically mounted in ceilings and/or sidewalls.
